Child Therapy
Children see the world differently than their adolescent and adult companions. Sometimes, it can be challenging to know how to communicate with a child in language that they understand. This is where play-based therapy can be used as a method to help children express their conflicts that are otherwise hard to communicate in words. Oftentimes, parents bring their children to therapy to help them process and move through challenging situations with family, peers, and school. Others want their children to have a designated space to build bravery in a world that might seem big and scary to the young brain and nervous system. In most cases, parent involvement is pivotal to successful therapy for a child and will be encouraged throughout the process of treatment.
It is common for parents to have multiple questions about the treatment process for their child, which can be discussed over the initial free 15 minute consultation call.
