Hi, I’m Taylor, Associate Marriage and Family Therapist

  • I am a Manhattan Beach Middle School and Mira Costa High School graduate.

  • As someone who grew up as a teen athlete in the South Bay, I hold a special place in my heart for young humans navigating the challenges that often come with being raised in a competitive, high-achieving environment.

  • My clinical traineeship as a psychotherapist took place at a middle school with children and families navigating complex issues such as divorce and single-parent homes.

  • The second half of my clinical traineeship focused on working with young adults navigating substance abuse, mood disorders, and college transitions.

  • I previously worked in private practice in Redondo Beach as an AMFT where I worked with adolescents and young adults navigating eating disorders, OCD, severe anxiety, depression and PTSD.

  • I have worked with children, ages 7-12 years old, and their families, assisting them in moving through trauma and attachment challenges.

  • I have personal and professional experience with recovery from substance abuse, which has allowed me to help others who are navigating the unique challenges of addiction. I am deeply entrenched in my sobriety and find great purpose in helping others recover their authentic selves through the recovery process, which often looks different for each individual.

Education

Antioch University, Los Angeles

Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology

California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo

Bachelor of Arts: Communication Studies

  • I grew up as an equestrian, beginning horseback riding at 8 years old in Palos Verdes. During a high-conflict divorce between my parents, horses offered me solace. I have found the grounding presence of horses (and animals in general) to be invaluable resources in the maintenance of my mental health.

  • Dancing was another key part of my tween and teen-hood. After being trained in classical ballet, I spent the majority of my high school career on the Mira Costa High School dance team.

  • Additionally, I received my 200-hour yoga teacher training certification during the COVID-19 pandemic.
